Proceeds to benefit the AIDS crisis in India.

ONE NIGHT FOR INDIA is a charitable concert event to benefit the fight against the emerging HIV/AIDS crisis in India. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and the UCLA AIDS Institute through grants from the One Night Foundation.

The concert will feature performances by some of the biggest stars of the world's music industry. For the first time ever, major music and film stars from India will share the stage with headliners from the West. A cross-cultural affair to remember, this event will not only entertain, but will raise money and awareness for one of the world's largest and neediest countries - India.

Also planned for the night is a silent auction featuring the exquisite art of Bettina Werner who works primarily with sea salt to create pieces that have appeared in the Whitney Museum in New York, The DKNY store in Manhattan and will appear on the One Night for India stage! Her generous donation will raise money for the One Night Foundation with 70% of the proceeds going towards the cause.

Also featured is the work of Chris Lee, photojournalist, fine-art photographer and darkroom printer.  His works have been published in Newsweek, OC Register and other publications and include documentary and fine are projects in India, Singapore, Mexico and Canada.

60% of India's population is living in poverty where poor infrastructure and living conditions are fueling epidemics like HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria. "One Night for India" will showcase the power of the Indian and Western entertainment industries in raising the world's awareness of the serious health problems facing India.
