Bettina Werner celebrates Bob Wilson 70th birthday at the All-Star Hamptons Spectacular 18th Annual Water Mill Summer Benefit

Bettina Werner, the Salt Queen donated her radiant artwork : "Horizon", a $17,000 tribute, in celebration of Robert Wilson's 70th Birthday, founder of the Water Mill Center Foundation and to support its mission. The New York Times described Robert Wilson as "a towering figure in the world of experimental theater." The Water Mill Annual Summer Benefit will once again bring together the worlds of theater, art, fashion, design, and society. It will be a true festival of the arts and performance to benefit Watermill and its mission to provide a unique environment for young and emerging artists to explore new ideas and foster their career development. The 2011 honorary chairs includes world famous celebrities like Charlotte Rampling, Iman & David Bowie, Frank Gehry, h.r.h. Princess Caroline of Hanover, Anjelica Huston, Bianca Jagger, Lou Reed, Isabella Rossellini, Sharon Stone, James Turrell and others. The 2011 benefit chairs includes world famous celebrities like Lisa de Kooning, Calvin klein, Dorothy Lichtenstein, Eugenio Lopez and others.

The radiant painting "Horizon" symbolizing a fearless and celest message for the future was highlighted at Bettina Werner's 25 Year Retrospective at 7 World Trade Center last year

Beginning at 6pm, the evening will include cocktails, courtesy of Bacardi USA, a silent auction, performances, art installations, dinner, dancing and a live auction hosted by auctioneer Simon de Pury, Chairman, Phillips de Pury & Company. The evening will end with guests dancing under the stars in the auction tent. This year's silent and live auction will include over 85 lots from emerging and established artists including Marina Abramovi, Ross Bleckner, Tom Burr, Peter Coffin, E.V. Day, Mary Heilmann, Peter Hujar, Alfredo Jaar, Ray Johnson, Robert Mapplethorpe, Adam McEwen, Yoko Ono, Walter Pfeiffer, Anri Sala, David Salle, Kenny Scharf, Cindy Sherman, Taryn Simon, Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, Bettina Werner, and Aaron Young, with special lots created in celebration of Robert Wilson's 70th Birthday.
